Extra Large need is good for bulky rug and wool yarns and is easily adjustable for pile depths from 1/4 inch to 1 inch. (threader included)

The 4.0 mm needle will accept finer yarns and is easily adjustable for pile depths from 1/4 inch to 1 inch. (threader included)

I really love the adjustability of these punch needles because I often need to change loop size to achieve the effect I'm wanting. Now that I've tried them out, I want to mention that these needles are so smooth and easy to use! They look slightly more rounded on the end than some other punch needles but they slip right into the right holes rather than tearing the backing fabric as pointier needles can do. I really can't say enough about how nice the very smooth operation is. In fact, I'm punching a project with very heavy weight yarn right now and it barely fits inside the barrel of the larger needle but it slides right through because of the high quality finish.
